Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 20, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Montra (“the app”, “we”, “us”) handles information when you use it. The short version: Montra is built to keep your photos on your device.
1. Photos and media
Montra is a photo collage editor. When you choose photos to build a collage, the app reads those images from your device to display and edit them, and writes exported collages back to your photo library when you save them.
Your photos are processed entirely on your device and are never uploaded to us or to any third party. We do not have servers that receive, store, or analyze your images.
2. Permissions we request
- Photo library access — to let you pick photos for a collage and to save your exports. You can grant access to all photos or only a selected subset; the app works with whatever you allow.
- Microphone (Android) — requested only if you add media that includes audio; it is not used to record you in the background.
You can change or revoke these permissions at any time in your device’s system settings.
3. Information we do not collect
Montra does not require an account and does not ask for your name, email, or contacts to function. We do not collect your photos, do not build advertising profiles, and do not sell personal information.
4. Purchases
Montra offers a one-time in-app purchase, Montra Pro. Purchases are processed by Apple’s App Store or Google Play — we never see or store your payment details. To validate and restore your purchase, the app receives a purchase receipt or entitlement status from the store, which is kept on your device. Apple and Google handle billing under their own privacy policies.
5. Diagnostics
The app stores its own settings and your saved project data locally on your device. Apple and Google may provide us with aggregate, anonymized statistics (such as download counts or crash reports) through their developer platforms; this data is not linked to your identity by us.
6. Children’s privacy
Montra is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll revise the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the app after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
